The World I Want to Live In
A world without hunger, without war, without crime, without injustice, and without oppression. In this world, there will be aid centers that welcome and help every person in need. People will no longer worry about food shortages. This world will organize a global defense force to prevent wars. It will have a strict and flawless legal system where criminals receive the punishment they deserve. This world will be one of equality, where everyone has the opportunity to receive the same education. In this world, everyone will have the freedom of speech, able to express their opinions and collectively promote the progress of the world.
In this world without hunger, people will do their best to help those in need. People will uphold kindness and empathy, allowing rescue centers to exist in every corner of the world. This world will be full of goodwill, and helping others will become a common habit.
In this world without war, conflicts are resolved through peaceful means. People will hold onto the desire to live in harmony, so no one will have to suffer from the pain of war. This world will be full of peace, with reduced conflicts, and war and fighting will be treated as crimes.
In this world without crime, the law will become the weapon of every victim, aimed at the wrongdoers. People will uphold justice, so that anyone with criminal thoughts will bow before the law. This world will be filled with justice, and evil will be smothered in its cradle.
In this world without injustice, everyone is equal—regardless of gender, race, class, or age. People will uphold fairness, and everyone will have access to the same education and resources. This world will be full of justice, and all forms of injustice will be eliminated.
In this world without oppression, people can freely express their views. People will uphold respect and understanding, and even when opinions differ, they will still listen to each other. This world will shine with the light of freedom, allowing everyone to speak bravely and ensuring fairness is heard.
In this world, decisions are made by the people, and no one holds absolute power. Everyone has the right to decide on any matter. All important decisions will be made through voting, allowing everyone to make choices for a better life—even in matters concerning the sentencing of criminals.
In the real world, war leads to hunger and higher crime rates. Not only that, war also places citizens of warring countries into states of injustice and oppression. For example, during the Gaza conflict, the ongoing blockade and the deliberate withholding of humanitarian aid—including food—have worsened the risk of famine. All 2.1 million people in Gaza are facing long-term food shortages, and nearly 500,000 are suffering from hunger, severe malnutrition, extreme starvation, illness, and death. This is one of the world’s most severe famine crises, currently unfolding in reality. [1]
The road to an ideal world is not simple. It requires the cooperation and goodwill of people. However, "bad people" in the world often take advantage of others’ kindness for personal gain. This makes those who genuinely wish to help start to doubt whether their kindness can truly help those in need, and as a result, some may stop their acts of kindness.
Although the distance to a just, peaceful, kind, and happy world is still far—and the road may be difficult, perhaps even impossible to achieve before the end of the world—I believe that as long as people interact with one another with goodwill, at the very least, some improvement will come.
